Blue Heron Farm specializes in hunters, jumpers, equitation, & ponies. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, positive, & educational atmosphere that builds community and the love of the sport. All ages are welcome and we offer many opportunities to compete in horse shows of all levels, as well as horse care clinics and camps. Above all, we have fun!
We have a variety of school horses for all types of riders. We also offer full and half leases to help you on your way to horse ownership. Our horses range from small ponies to seasoned show horses. We firmly believe in size appropriate matches and always keep safety as a #1 priority. We are able to accommodate the first time riders as well as the serious show competitor; we believe there is a horse for every one!
Ages: Lessons start at 5 yrs old. 5 and under may be accommodated but only in a private lesson setting.
Introductory Package: $125
This is for the first time student who will be continuing on with regular lessons. There will be two, 30-minute long, private lessons to familiarize the student with our policies and the basics of riding. Tacking up and grooming the horse is part of this lesson.
Group Lessons: $60
A group lesson is anywhere from two to six riders in a class. We match up lessons based on age and experience. Lessons go 45 minutes to an hour depending on the number of students in a class.
Riders in this program are required to ride, at minimum, one (1) time per week. Lessons are billed for at the beginning of every month, and are payable via cash, check, or invoice.
Private Lesson: $85
A private lesson is 45 - 60 minutes long.

Lease (Half and Full)
Leasing is a wonderful first step in creating a successful partnership with a horse. Students who are looking to lease will be carefully worked with to determine which horse will best suit them & their goals; big or small! We have a plethora of in barn options available for lease, from seasoned leeson horses to upper level hunter, jumper, & equitation horses. We firmly believe in quality & correct horse / rider combinations, so if we do not have the match for you in barn, we are determined to help look elsewhere in your search for the perfect mount, through our many regional national, & international contacts!
